Main results of “Quality Assessment of Research” (VQR) 2011-2014

Based on the second VQR evaluation exercise for 2011-2014, “Tor Vergata” R (direct measurement) and X (excellent and high quality) quality indicators are superior to 1 in most departments, showing that the rating is higher than the national average of the area. Particularly significant is the performance of areas 1, 2, 3, 8a, 8b, 11a and 13.

In particular, in their respective category, the most virtuous departments are: Economy and Finance and Mathematics (first); Engineering of the Enterprise (third); Chemistry (fourth); Physics (fifth).

Enhancement of research results and technology transfer

  1. Increase of 900% of the proceeds from the exploitation of patents in the University Registry in 2016 (licensing and exploitation agreements for more than 500,000 euros);
  2. The number of university patents has increased, recalled in 2013, from 385 to 450, with an increased rate of around 50%.

Start-up and Spin-off

Our business incubator hosts 55 companies, associations and consortia, of which 46 spin-offs or start-ups of the University (17 in 2013).
